Grown up

The thing about Annika is that she constantly surprises me. Anyone with a baby/child/BB of their own is probably not as impressed with my baby girl's accomplishments. That's ok with me. I am amazed all too often, and don't need other people suffering the same amount of shock.

The latest:

- She kisses! This is a breakthrough. I say "Give Momma kisses, Give Momma kisses, Give Momma kisses...." with kissy noises...and she does! I must admit, she kissed Uncle Ben first, but that's ok with me...however she chooses to express her love is a-ok! And yes - it's as adorable as it sounds.

- She claps! Not necessarily on command, but well, sometimes. She is a good clapper. Not a golf clapper.

- She high fives! I personally taught her this trick.

- She laughs! She's still a tough cookie to crack, but she does laugh on a fairly consistent basis now. It's as adorable as it sounds.

I just love this kid.
